Hi I'm Mrs. Woodward!

     Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am so excited to work with you and your child. It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I thought you might like to know a little bit about me.

      I am married to my wonderful husband, Derek.  We have two sons. {Benjamin and Judah} Outside of the classroom I love spending time with my family. Also, some of my favorite hobbies are cooking, running, and reading!

      I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and have lived in Tennessee over the last 10 years.  I graduated from Cincinnati Christian University in 2007 and I am the oldest of three! I have two younger brothers who both currently live in Cincinnati. I am also fluent in Spanish and I love incorporating it into my classroom.

      This will be my tenth year teaching at Harold McCormick Elementary.  So far, I have taught one year of 1st grade and 9 years of 2nd grade.  I absolutely love teaching 2nd grade! I specifically teach Science and Social Studies for all three second grade classes.  It is my mission to create a love for learning in all my students.  I attempt to teach with a passion in all my subjects so that students develop a passion to become life-long learners.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need.
