Teachers and staff at EHS used the professional development days this week to refocus on the Mission & Vision.
The EHS mission is " To build a culture for learners to think and to act as changemakers." The vision is " To create a 21st century learning environment where everyone is held accountable, reaches for excellence, embraces community, displays resilience, and values integrity."
Jeffery McClellan, the Founding Head of MC2 STEM High School in Ohio’s second-largest school district came to speak about the process for project-based and STEM learning in schools. Mr. McClellan described the innovative process to help schools and the districts form a firm mission and vision to be able to live it out. He stated four key areas such as the head, heart, hands, and feet. The teachers and staff were placed in groups to brain storm ideas about the four key areas to enhance the learning environment.
