Twenty-one EHS students participated in the 2018 Barter Theatre Young Playwright Festival.  This year 633 students from 14 schools submitted a total of 395 plays.  Students could work independently or collaborate in groups of up to three.

Participants have six weeks to create an original ten-minute play; these plays are then evaluated and scored by Barter professionals (playwrights and players).  EHS participants attended the Barter Theatre Playwright Festival on November 5, and three of those students were recognized as semi-finalists and a finalist.

Adam White (senior) and Alexis Shelton (sophomore) were awarded certificates for being semi-finalists.  Abby Jack (sophomore) received a plaque for her play placing 7th of the 633 that were submitted.  All students who participated are enrolled in English Honors III and Advanced Creative Writing classes.
