Elizabethton High School alumni that have served in the United States military are invited to submit photos to be included in the Veterans Wall at the school. This is part of a project to update the commons area, which will continue to be a space where the school highlights student and alumni success.
“We currently have a Veterans Wall that highlights veterans from a few conflicts, but we would like to encourage families to donate pictures of veterans from all conflicts to more accurately represent alumni’s service to our country,” said Director of Schools Dr. Corey Gardenhour. “This is our way of remembering everyone who has served and preserving their memory for future generations.”
The plan is to display photos in the very center of the back wall. Photos prints should be eight inches by 10 inches or smaller and should be submitted with identifying information about the veteran. This should include full name and title, years at EHS, graduating year from EHS, military branch, and years served.
Printed photos are preferred and may be delivered or mailed to the school at 907 Jason Witten Way, Elizabethton, TN 37643-4207. Digital images may be submitted as well by email to email@example.com. Families should limit submissions to one photo per veteran. Photos are due by the end of March 2019.
