After nearly a year of research, numerous focus groups, and input from more than 200 staff members, Elizabethton City Schools is proud to release its bold new district logo. Over the last decade, enrollment has grown by 25 percent, and ECS has met this growth with system-wide upgrades. “Updating our identity helps us ensure our brand accurately represents our new programs, equipment, facilities and dedicated staff,” said Public Relations Coordinator Bekah Price.
The new logo will replace the seal, but ECS will continue to use the Tuffy pride logo for athletics. The clean new design retains the notable shield shape from the seal. In addition, the prominent E is featured in the heart of the mountains and the two rivers, which symbolizes the centrality of ECS in the Elizabethton community. “We feel that our programs and achievements speak for themselves and that we can best represent ECS with a simple, distinguished design,” Price said.
Another exciting element is the evolution of the tagline from A Tradition of Excellence to Experience Excellence. “The community is well acquainted with our tradition of excellence,” Price said. “We feel that our new tagline tells more about who we are and what we offer. Our goal is that every day, our staff and students Experience Excellence.”
